Kurt Weiss’s presentation “Forensic Testing and Analysis of Seat Belt Assemblies with Case Studies” was chosen for the CAARS 3rd Quarter Training in Vallejo and Glendora, CA, August 2019.  Registered members received CEU’s for their attendance. The course outline included:

• Seat belt component terminology
• Benefits of seat belts
• Examples of physical evidence observed on seat belt components

Over 300 technical slides served as a backdrop to Mr. Weiss’s presentation. Case studies were presented to illustrate the forensic testing he used to explore failures in the performance of several seat belt assemblies in real world crashes.
