Two outboard video cameras were used to document the driver’s forward view during a series of staged drive tests on the road of a traffic collision. One video camera was aligned with the driver’s seat and the lens centerline was adjusted to match the driver’s eye-height. The second video camera adds parameters such as vehicle speed, acceleration, and path length on the playback screen.
